I absolutely LOATHE waking up earlier than I have to.
However, I found myself doing the complete opposite of what I tell my clients to do and I knew that I had to make a change.
I tell my clients that if they want to reach their goals, they have to put in the work and make sacrifices. They have to stop making excuses and get it done. Period! ⚫️
I was saying that, but in my own personal life, I was skipping the gym because of after-work obligations and I wasn’t meal-prepping because I simply didn’t feel like it 🤷🏾♀️
When I finally made it to the gym after missing many days, I was gassed and felt like I was going to pass out on the first round 😩 On top of that, when I finally made it home from a long day, I didn’t have a meal prepared, so I would spend an hour making dinner.
I knew that I had to do something different if I wanted to keep my fitness level up. So I took my own advice and did what I had to do-
✅I started waking up earlier to make it to the gym at 6am,
✅I dedicated a day to grocery shopping and meal prep, AND
✅At the beginning of the week, I made a weekly schedule to keep me on track
I’m not saying that it has been easy, but it has definitely been worth it. My workout is done before I even make it to work and I always have a healthy meal on hand! 💁🏾♀️
Even though I say it has been worth it, it definitely has not been easy.
When that alarm goes off in the morning, babyyyyyyy I want to say just forget it! But I do it anyway!
When Saturday hits and I know I have to go to the grocery store and come home and start chopping, cutting, sautéing, baking, and air-frying, I want to go get in the bed and lay down! BUT I do it anyway!
If I can do it, you can too! We have to stop thinking that things are magically going to happen for us and realize that it all starts with YOU. You are holding yourself back. You vs. You.
